I'm most definitely not a professional photographer. Even so, I thought I might as well throw some of my efforts onto the Web. The photographs were taken with a Canon PowerShot G1 digital camera. (I know these photographs are not good enough to be used commercially, but don't forget that all items on Railwaybridge.co.uk are copyright. So no pinching!)

The Martian is a sculpture by Michael Condron which celebrates HG Wells' The War Of The Worlds. The Martian is situated on the route the aliens took through Woking.
The first Martians landed near the Sand Pits on Horsell Common, a mile or so to the north of Woking, Surrey. From here they set about destroying peaceful Victorian England. And they would have got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling bacteria.
